Refund & Returns Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2025
1. OUR COMMITMENT
At Vintage Vault, we are committed to transparency and fairness for both buyers and sellers. All items are sold As Is with complete photographic documentation of any imperfections at the time of listing.
2. ALL SALES AS IS
- All items are sold As Is
- All imperfections are fully photographed and disclosed
- Buyers accept items as described and photographed
- VV maintains complete records of all listings
- No returns accepted for change of mind
3. BUYER INSPECTION WINDOW
Buyers have 10 days from confirmed delivery to:
- Inspect the item thoroughly
- Report any discrepancies
- File a formal dispute with VV
- Request return authorization
After 10 days:
- The sale is automatically finalized
- No disputes will be accepted
- Funds released to the seller
4. ACCEPTABLE DISPUTES
VV accepts disputes for two reasons only:
Reason 1 — Shipping Damage:
- Item damaged during shipping
- Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
- Photographic evidence required
- An insurance claim will be filed
Reason 2 — Not As Described:
- The item significantly differs from the listing
- VV reviews the complete listing records
- Original photos and description examined
- VV decision is final and binding
5. DISPUTE PROCESS
Step 1 — Contact VV Email contactus@vintagevaultresell.shop within 10 days
Step 2 — Provide Documentation
- Photos of the received item
- Description of discrepancy
- Order number and details
Step 3 — VV Review
- Complete listing of records pulled
- Original photos compared
- Seller notified of dispute
- Review completed within 3-5 business days
Step 4 — Resolution
- VV makes the final determination
- Both parties notified
- Refund processed if approved
- Funds are released if the dispute is denied
6. APPROVED REFUNDS
When a refund is approved:
- Buyer returns the item in its original condition
- Buyer pays return shipping
- The item must be returned within 5 days of approval
- Refund processed within 5-7 business days
- Refund issued to original payment method
Non-Refundable:
- Original shipping costs
- Insurance fees
- VV commission fees
7. SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS
If the item arrives damaged:
Option 1 — Buyer Handles Claim
- Contact the shipper directly
- Use the provided tracking information
- File an insurance claim independently
Option 2 — VV Assisted Claim
- Contact contactus@vintagevaultresell.shop
- VV mediates with the designated shipper
- Resolution within 5-7 business days
- Funds held during the claim process
8. SEASONAL AUCTION ITEMS
- All auction purchases are final
- No returns accepted on auction items
- Exception: Item proven misrepresented
- Standard dispute process applies
9. SELLER PROTECTION
- VV maintains complete photographic records
- All listing descriptions archived
- Provenance documentation preserved
- Sellers are protected from unfair disputes
- VV decision is final and binding
10. PAYMENT HOLD POLICY
